twelve months of rabbit season: october

With October 31st literally one week away, this past Sunday we made a point of driving past one of our favorite local roadside oddities, the oft bogged about / photographed wascally wooden wabbits of the Main Line, in an effort to catch them in their Halloween finery and, of course, in an effort to keep on keeping on with this whole Twelve Months Of Rabbit Season thang.

(Ten months down, two to go! PS: I know it is no longer one week away from Halloween. Apparently my "date of taking photos" to "date of blogging about photos" ratio still isn't properly calibrated.)

Anywhoo, I'm starting to wonder if the recession hasn't trickled it's way down to the wooden class as this is the second month in a row we've found them relatively sans finery. A bit curious, considering this does seem like the costume-i-est month of the year. Plus they had no less than two outfit changes last October. See?

On the other hand, no one wants to be photographed in the same outfit twice - man or mammal - so I suppose I would rather go naked than wear last year's costume to this year's Halloween party as well.
